I miss my father. I would like to make a tribute DVD about him. I tried a few times. I simply cannot look at the pictures or home videos. It makes me too sad. Maybe someday it won’t.

I miss his laugh. I miss being able to call upon him for advice. I miss just sitting on the couch with him watching Wheel of Fortune. He always won.

I can sometimes see his handwriting in my own. It’s the rush to get things down on paper, I suppose. And I did it. My dad would tell me he hoped that I would have a child just like me.

So to all fathers, wherever they may be, we thank you for all the gifts of love and knowledge you bestowed upon us.
