Portable printers
Only Canon and Hewlett-Packard make mobile printers that produce regular documents.
The good news is that portable printers have improved dramatically in recent years. For example, HP offers models that connect wirelessly. If you don't want to carry cables, this may be for you.
HP's Deskjet 460wf mobile printer connects via both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You can print from your laptop or from your handheld. But expect to pay for the privilege. It also has slots for memory cards. That's handy if you want to print photos.
p>HP also offers the Deskjet 460c. For a lesser price, you'll get about the same features. But there's one major exception: A battery is an $80 option. HP offers other models with similar features.
Canon offers the Pixma iP90. You can print wirelessly via infrared connections. You can also print directly from a PictBridge camera. Options include a Bluetooth adapter and rechargeable battery.
