Digital photo frames
There are a variety of digital photo frames on the market. I've seen digital frames for well under $100. I've also seen them over $500. The selection may be overwhelming if you're not sure what you want.
So let's look at the important features. First, you should consider the display. If the display is bad, remove the frame from your list. Other features won't make up for a bad display.
You'll find screen sizes as small as 1.5 inches at the low end. Screens top out around 20 inches. The average is about 7 inches. This will display pictures that are 4 x 6 inches. Screen resolutions will vary; but the larger the numbers, the better.
To judge the quality of the display, you really need to see the frame for yourself. Look at the brightness and crispness of the images. You should also consider the viewing angle. A narrow angle makes an image difficult to see from certain positions.
I'd also consider the frame itself. Some look like hunks of plastic. Others are more refined, with wood trim. This may seem unimportant. But you don't want to draw attention from the pictures.
Storage is also an important consideration. Some have built-in storage. If so, the storage space won't be very large. You'll probably want to use a memory card.
