Everybody eats. And, by extension, everybody poops. It’s the circle of life. To many, it’s one of nature’s little inconveniences.

As far as side hustles are concerned, few of us consider our daily bowel movements to be a potential source of income. That is, until now. Yes, we’re serious. Tap or click here for 10 part-time jobs that offer health insurance.

GoodNature, a research firm dedicated to studying stool samples from healthy people nationwide, is on a mission and needs your samples to succeed. Here’s how you might earn up to $1,500 doing something you do for free every day.

Here’s the backstory

The GoodNature Stool Donation Program is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a group of people hoping to learn more about gastrointestinal disease and dysfunction by analyzing stool donated by ordinary people. Specifically, the group’s area of interest is C. difficile, a potentially debilitating nightmare if left untreated.

The site offers a few criteria outlining the ideal candidates they seek. In broad strokes, those who qualify are between 18 and 50 years old and move their bowels regularly, with no history of gastrointestinal disease, alcohol, or drug abuse.

You can complete this short survey to get started, and if you’re eligible, you’ll be able to give them your contact information and proceed from there.

Donors can expect anywhere from $25 to $75 per visit and up to $1,500 monthly. Not bad, considering the product in question is something most people simply flush away.

Does it sound too good to be true? Absolutely, but this project is all too real.

Unfortunately, a distance radius is involved in whether you’ll be invited to donate. If there isn’t a donation center within a certain number of miles, you won’t be able to participate.

The good news is that you’re free to add your contact info, allowing the team behind this project to reach out if a donation center ends up being established near you later.
