Spam blockers are great. They keep you from receiving unwanted emails, including ones that could contain viruses or links to malicious sites.Unfortunately, the spam blocker in Yahoo Mail is causing some of my readers to miss out on my helpful daily newsletters. That’s why I’ve put together these easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions to ensure that you keep getting my newsletters uninterrupted. Don’t worry, it only takes a minute and a few clicks.

Check the spam folder

First, you will want to check to see if my newsletters are being sent to the spam folder.Log in to your Yahoo account and click on “Spam” in the left-hand column to open this folder. If you find a Komando newsletter in the spam folders, simply click on it, and then click the “Not Spam” button at the top.Clicking on this button will remove the spam tag from the email and move it directly back into your inbox. It will also let Yahoo know that in the future you want to see this newsletter.

Add me to your contacts

Next, you will want to add me to your contact list just so we know this won’t happen again. You can do this by hovering your mouse cursor over the “From” line. For the Tech Tips & How-Tos newsletter, for example, this will be “Kim’s Tech Tips & How-Tos.” Hover over it, and then click on “Add to contacts.” Next, you will see the following pop-up message.Screen Shot 2015-07-06 at 9.59.41 AMThen, enter the contact info. Click the “Save” button and you’re set.Just keep in mind that you will need to do this for all of my newsletters that you receive. Here’s a list of my Komando newsletters and the email address of each one:
