Your air fryer does a lot of heavy lifting in the kitchen. Like any device, however, these countertop champions are just as subject to factory defects as anything else.

According to an official report, specific air fryers don’t just pose a potential fire hazard. They’re melting down and starting fires.

If you have a Cosori air fryer listed below, we recommend checking out the recall announcement and discontinuing using it ASAP.

Voluntary Cosori air fryer recall

Around 2 million Cosori products are being recalled in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The issue? Faulty wiring that could overheat and combust under the right conditions.

According to Cosori, “After a thorough investigation, we determined that in extremely rare circumstances, the closed-end crimp connectors within the recalled air fryers – which are responsible for establishing electrical connections between certain wires – can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.”

The brand urges you to stop using these air fryers immediately and fill out a claim for rectification.
