Agree or disagree? Researchers say this is the most stressful time of day

Did you know that the time of day may impact how you’re feeling? It sounds crazy, but the effect is so real that it’s been shown to impact school performance in children.

Read on to find out what one team of researchers in the U.K. has learned about the most stressful time of day.

Most U.K. adults are stressed in the morning

U.K.’s Rescue Remedy, a brand of stress-relief products, conducted a small survey that revealed something interesting. On average, these 2,000 adults were most stressed around 7:23 a.m. Why? It actually varies from person to person, but many cited good reasons.

Along with this result, they also asked the same adults what makes them feel stressed in the morning (or whenever they said the problem was at its worst).

Some of the most popular answers? Number one was getting stuck in traffic.

Here are a few more reasons people feel stressed in the early morning:

  • Mishaps like spilled coffee.
  • Being late.
  • No parking.
  • Missing the bus.
  • Choosing an outfit.
  • Forgetting their wallet.
  • Stress at work.

Rescue Remedy’s particular brand of stress relief is designed to lend a helping hand during random inconveniences everybody runs into. Herbal pastilles, tinctures and even aromatherapy aids can help keep your spirits high even when things go sideways.

Other tips for daily stress include meditation, journaling, light therapy and even giving up social media. If you’re tired, you can do much to reinforce healthy mood patterns without leaving your home. Tap or click for a clever way to fall asleep in 2 minutes.
