Guide: How to use AI to create your own website in a few minutes
Does thinking of creating your own website conjure visions of tech jargon and coding mysteries? Well, fear not because the future of website building is here.
So many of you have called or emailed me asking for help getting your business, side hustle or hobby online. Let’s look at the AI website builder Hostinger so I can show you how easy it is these days. Seriously, the example site I whipped up took under 10 minutes.
FYI, Hostinger is just one option, and they didn’t pay me to write about them. Hocoos, Durable and Mixo all work similarly.
Step 1: Pick your plan
Hosts ensure the website is owned and controlled by you. With Hostinger, plans start at $2.99 a month and come with many freebies, like a custom domain. Hosting on Hoccos or Durable is free (depending on the URL), and Mixo starts at $9 a month.
Step 2: set it up
Now that you own the domain let’s set up your site.
On the Hostinger dashboard, look for the Setup option located under the Premium Web Hosting banner. You’ll find a similar option if using a different service.
You’ll be directed to a page that asks you to Create or Migrate a Website. Since you’re crafting from scratch, select Create a new website, followed by Hostinger Builder with AI as your preferred platform. Sweet.
Step 3: Pick the perfect name
A new website requires a web address, so choose a domain name. Name your website to something that is uniquely yours. Need help? Namecheckr scans the web and social media to see if the handle you want is open.
3 ways to boost your site’s SEO right now
Search engine optimization (SEO) feels like magic if you don’t know how it works. Google’s algorithm determines what makes it to page one of any particular search — and the traffic flies in.
Fun fact: That algorithm is called RankBrain (I know, quite a name). Why doesn’t Google post all the secrets online? Aside from protecting its secret sauce, Google wants to protect against people having too much info to game the system.
Best ways to save your phone’s photos before it’s too late
Have you ever lost your phone? There’s that sinking feeling when you realize it’s nowhere to be found.
There are better ways to find a lost phone than getting someone to call it for you. Tap or click for methods to find your misplaced smartphone, even if it’s powered down.
5 signs your website is outdated
If you’re a small business owner or an entrepreneur, you want to leave a good first impression. Your website will be the first point of contact for many potential customers. A recent study found that nearly 2 billion people purchased goods or services online in 2019. That year, e-retail sales raked in over $3.5 trillion worldwide.

Sketchy data collection practices aside, you might think of Google as some kind of neutral arbiter when it comes to everything on the internet. But between search engine optimization, engagement and paid advertising, nothing could be further from the truth.
