Use this site to score 4 free COVID tests

With so much happening worldwide, you don’t hear as much about the spread of COVID-19 anymore. That doesn’t mean it’s not still out there. It is.

Making matters worse, fake at-home tests have been flooding the market. Aside from getting ripped off, a false reading may prevent you from seeking treatment. The FDA issued a warning on a specific at-home drug test resembling an authorized kit. Tap or click here for the warning signs an at-home test is fake.

In January, the government started distributing free at-home COVID tests for anyone who ordered them. The second round of tests launched in March. The third round started in May when you could order eight tests per household. Now there’s another round, and you should act fast if you haven’t requested free tests or have expired kits.

How to get your four free COVID tests

Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order four more free COVID tests from the U.S. government. The new tests became available on Dec. 15. This would bring the total to 20 kits if you participated in all four rounds this year.

The tests are free to order and ship, and you don’t need to enter any payment information. Here’s how to get yours:

  • Go to covid.gov/tests.
  • Tap or click the Order Free At-Home Tests button.
  • Fill in your contact information and shipping address.
  • You can include your email address for shipping updates, but you don’t have to.
  • Select Check Out Now, confirm the information and select Place My Order.
  • The tests will ship via the United States Postal Service starting the week of December 19, 2022

If you don’t know that you have more free tests available, just go to the site and enter your name and address. If you’ve already received the maximum amount, it will tell you. There’s no harm in checking.

The White House previously announced that the program would be suspended on Sept. 2, “because Congress hasn’t provided additional funding to replenish the nation’s stockpile of tests.”

Since then, the White House has shifted existing money to buy more tests and relaunch the program as Covid cases are on the rise again.
