Kim’s Take: What does Google know about you?

January 15, 2019

By Kim Komando

We know that Google tracks and records a lot of information about each of us. Well, how’d you like to get a copy of what they have about you? You can.

Think about how much you use Google – Gmail, Google Contacts, Docs, Calendar, Photos, Maps, Home, Translate, Chrome, Drive and then some more.

Your Google footprint includes your browsing history, searches, ads, preferences, email and other information stored on Google’s servers.

You can get a copy of it all using Google Take Out. You’ll see exactly how much of your personal info is being tracked and then you’ll know what you need to lock it down.

You’ll be notified by Google through text or email when your information is ready to download. To order your Google footprint, go to Google.com/takeout.
