Save your eyes: Make text and icons bigger across all the apps and menus on Android. Open Settings > Display > Display size and text.

Lock it away: Your most private notes can be locked behind a face or fingerprint scan in the Notes app on your iPhone. With a note open, tap the three dots at the top right and then Lock.

🔴 Intimate IG: Instagram now lets you livestream just to your close friends instead of all your followers. Tap the + button, choose Live, then select Close Friends and start recording. You can add up to three pals. Want to tweak your list? Head to More > Settings > Who can see your content > Close Friends, and then add or remove people.

Best day to apply for a job: Data from ZipRecruiter says Tuesday (that’s today!) is the day for job seekers. Why? Most jobs are uploaded that day, and it’s your best bet to apply within the first 24 to 48 hours.

⚡️ Check how much you’re paying: Everywhere you turn, it’s a buck or more a month. Check your subscriptions for increases with what I use: Rocket Money.

Tighten up: Smartwatches track most accurately when the strap fits well. Swap the loose-fitting band that slips around on your arm for an adjustable model.

🤐 No one needs to know: Archive Amazon orders you don’t want someone else to see. On a computer, hover your cursor over Account & Lists and click Orders. Find the order you want to hide, click View order details, and tap Archive Order. Click Archive Order again to confirm.

See the forest for the trees: The Forest app helps you stay off your phone by growing a virtual tree while you focus on your tasks (get it free with in-app purchases for iOS or Android). If you leave the app to do something else, your tree dies. It’s a pretty cute visual reinforcement to keep you focused.

👊 Look, Ma! One hand! Make your Android easier to use with one hand by enabling One-handed Mode. Open Settings, and search for One-handed Mode. Turn it on and you’re good to go.

I’m surprised so many people don’t know this: On Zoom, Google Meet and most other video-chatting platforms, you can hit the spacebar when you’re muted to talk again. You have to hold it down. You’re welcome!
